 The purpose of reinsurance protection offered by Krayina Insurance Company is to maintain financial stability and solvency of the company.

In 2008 Krayina Insurance Company and one of the largest western reinsurers Hannover Re (Germany) reviewed terms and conditions of obligatory reinsurance agreement and increased the insurance limit. As compared with year 2007 when the limit for property insurance, including building and assembly risks, and freights, made up 3 million US dollars, as from July 1, 2008 it increased up to 8 million US dollars.

Main channels used by Krayina Insurance Company for risk reinsurance are the following:

  • proportionate reinsurance on the Ukrainian market;
  • non-proportionate reinsurance on the continental market (among partners, in particular, international reinsurance companies - Ace European Group LTD and GenRe);
  • proportionate reinsurance on the continental market through intermediary of representative offices of the largest international brokers (e.g., Мarsh Ukraine).

 Year 2008 contributed to enlargement of the database of partners-reinsurers that enabled to protect insurance portfolio of Krayina Insurance Company at higher level.

Well-adjusted system of partnership with foreign and domestic insurance and reinsurance companies makes it possible to solve all problems promptly and ensure reliable and efficient protection of Krayina Insurance Company portfolio.
