Insurance against the Risks of Fire,
Acts of God and other Perils
This type of insurance is the most important for any
enterprise, because it permits to protect its property from a probable loss or
adverse events, which may call into question the existence of any enterprise as
such. For the similar reasons, any individual may be interested in the same
type of insurance cover.
Insurable Objects:
immovable
property/real estate
interior design of
premises
industrial
equipment
furniture and
office equipment
hardware
stock of goods
other property.
Insurable Risks:
Fire, lightning, gas explosion,
and expenses incurred in consequence of the emergency measures taken in
order to salvage, extinguish a fire, or to prevent from a fire spread;
Explosion of stem-boilers,
gas-holders, gas-mains, mechanisms, apparatus and other analogous devices;
Acts of God (a storm,
whirlwind, hurricane, tornado, ground subsidence, flood, mudslide,
inundation, downpour, hail, earthquake, etc.)
Fall of piloted aircrafts or
their fragments on the property insured;
Damages caused by water leakage
from various sewer and water-supplying systems, heating mains and
sprinklers;
House-breaking, robbery;
Unlawful actions of the third
parties;
Other perils agreed by mutual
consent of the parties.
Sum
Insured:
Replacement value of the property, i.e.
when insuring under the replacement value of the property, the indemnity amount
to be paid upon an insured accident occurrence shall be equal to the amount to
be incurred for repair works or replacement of the damaged property in order to
bring that property to conformity with the condition that was before a
respective insured accident occurrence (a
"new for old" principle);
Book value of the property, i.e.
depreciated cost
Assessed value of the property,
i.e. according to the value appraised;
Contract value of the property, i.e. delivery charges, including purchasing value, customs fees, transport
charges.
The cost of insurance depends on:
Security measures taken at the objects to be insured;
Amount of the sum insured (liability limit);
Amount of the agreed deductible;
Exposure level of risks being characteristic of the insurable
objects;
A list of selected risks to be insured;
The number of insurance types under which the corresponding client
is insured by the company.
This insurance shall be written according
to the "Rules of Voluntary Property Insurance against the Risks of Fire and
Acts of God" and the "Rules of Voluntary Property Insurance". The said Rules
permit to develop insurance products to cover common sets of risks in
accordance to international insurance practice.
